The marketing claim
“Controls blackspot, rust and mildew on roses and ornamentals”
The chemical reality
Rose Clear Ultra is myclobutanil at about 0.875 g/L in the concentrate bottle — a triazole fungicide sold in a rose-shaped label. Technical myclobutanil powder dissolved to the same ppm is the same systemic without the garden-centre premium.

The Marketing Claim & The Catch
A 1 litre pack of Rose Clear Ultra Concentrate typically retails around £11.99 in lawn & garden. That is a UK shelf-price snapshot for the maths on this page — not a live shop quote or a manufacturer RRP. Listings, sizes and deals move. The marketing line is that you are buying a finished lifestyle product, not a weighed chemical.

Active ingredient and cheaper alternative — FAQ
Is Rose Clear the same as Bordeaux mixture?
No. Bordeaux is copper plus lime (contact fungicide). Rose Clear is myclobutanil (CAS 88671-89-0), a systemic triazole. Different chemistry, different crop labels.
Can I use SBK triclopyr on roses?
Wrong tool. SBK is triclopyr for woody weeds. Rose blackspot needs a fungicide such as myclobutanil — see this teardown, not the SBK one.
How do you mix the Rose Clear Ultra Concentrate dupe stack?
Pesticide: read the label on the powder you buy. Gloves, goggles, no spray drift onto ponds. Dissolve 0.91 g of myclobutanil technical in 10 L of water with a few drops of washing-up liquid as wetter. Spray dry foliage until run-off. Systemic — allow several days before rain if the label requires. 100 g of technical at 0.91 g per 10 L batch makes about 1,100 litres of working spray. Triple-rinse sprayers; rotate fungicide groups if blackspot persists.
DupeStack provides chemical concentration data and educational mixing guides only. Wellness pages compare food supplements, not medicines or prescribed treatments. Always review the supplier Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and comply with UK Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and COSHH regulations when handling concentrated substances. Mixing and storage are at your own risk. Some links are affiliate advertisements (Amazon Associates, eBay Partner Network, and Awin when those programmes are live). Commissions do not change listed concentrations or calculator output.
